• 大一大二

  The college counseling curriculum begins when a student enters the halls of Trinity. 大一和大二的时候, students are supported to have a strong academic start and engage in a rigorous curriculum. Academic success is still the most important factor in college 入学s. Students are encouraged to get involved in school activities and become engaged members of the Trinity community. 这可能包括加入一个学生俱乐部, 为有需要的人服务, 倡导社会正义事业, 或者参加体育运动或美术.   大一大二的时候, students will participate in various summative assessments which helps assess achievement of academic benchmarks and prepares students for college entrance tests like the ACT and SAT. Their school counselor will help students understand assessment results and offer test preparation recommendations that are reasonable based on each student’s needs and interests. 即使是作为底层学生, freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to engage with college and university 入学s officers as they visit Trinity each fall and spring, in order to start exploring college options and understand 入学 requirements. Sophomores are also invited to participate in Trinity-sponsored college tours.

  During the junior year, college planning formally begins. Our college counselor will guide students through the process of critically assessing academic interests, 技能, 人才, 和愿望. Students will explore the idea of “college fit” and learn how to access tools to more fully engage in the college search process.   像老年人, Trinity students have the benefit of receiving hands-on assistance with the college application and 入学s process. Students work closely with the college counselor to curate a list of 大学 that is appropriate, intentional and competitive based on each students needs and interests. Our college counselor actively works with the senior class to ensure proper completion of applications, 注意最后期限, and assistance with the scholarship and financial aid process. 因为我们的辅导员与学生的比例很低, our college counselor provides each senior with a comprehensive letter of recommendation that addresses her chosen curriculum and academic achievements, 对社区的贡献, 激情与兴趣, 以及在大学取得成功的能力.
